Jefferson Health Care Foundation Fund Announce 2018 Grants

Jefferson County, TN – East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) announces grant recipients from Jefferson Health Care Foundation Fund of ETF.  Eighteen (18) grants totaling $520,405.00 were awarded to nonprofit organizations whose programs directly benefit the health and well-being of Jefferson County residents.  The grant recipients will be honored at a reception on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Jefferson City Public Library. 

Grants from Jefferson Health Care Foundation Fund have been awarded to the following organizations: 4th Judicial District Recovery Services, Inc.; Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley; Carson-Newman University; First Presbyterian Church; Girls Inc of Hamblen County; Jefferson City Fire Department; Jefferson City Police Department; Jefferson County Educational and Community Foundation; Jefferson County EMS; Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity; Jefferson County Rescue Squad; Jefferson County Schools; Jefferson Rural Clinic, Inc. DBA Joining Hands Health Center; Mental Health Association of East Tennessee; Renovatus Recovery Community; SafeSpace; Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service; and Town of White Pine Volunteer Fire Department.

Jefferson Health Care Foundation (JHCF) Fund was created with funds from the former Jefferson Memorial Hospital.  JHCF Fund board and advisor board are comprised of individuals whose expertise and knowledge of the healthcare needs and resources in Jefferson County guided their funding recommendations.
