SEEKING FULL-TIME RECEPTIONIST

East Tennessee Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) community foundation serving 25 counties in East Tennessee. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, its mission is to provide philanthropic leadership inspiring donors to make lives better and communities stronger in enduring ways across generations.
We are seeking applicants for our full time Receptionist position, who will work independently on assigned office tasks and provide administrative support to a professional office staff. This position requires the ability to juggle multiple tasks and a willingness to work with others in a team-oriented structure. The candidate must be comfortable working with a diverse group of office staff, board members, prospects, donors, grantees, and volunteers.
Responsibilities and qualifications are indicated below:
Perform receptionist duties, including answering the telephone, operating a multi-line phone/voicemail system, taking and disseminating messages, receiving and distributing mail, logging checks, responding to routine inquiries, welcoming office visitors, scheduling meetings in our conference rooms, and coordinating use of our training room with our nonprofit partners.
Serve as liaison with our landlord and floor tenants regarding maintenance requests and use of the parking garage and coordinate the maintenance, use, and operation of office equipment and facilities.
Provide primary support to the advancement or program team as assigned.
Prepare letters and other documents, including both original composition and assisting staff.
Utilize Asana project management software to create, organize, and manage tasks and team projects.
Assist with the maintenance of the computer database and office files, entering and updating constituent records and updates and filing both electronic and paper copies.
Run office errands.
Assist in various office projects and other duties as assigned.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team-environment and with diverse individuals.
Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills. Good writing and proofing/editing skills.
A well-developed working knowledge of computers and computer software. Experience working with databases and Microsoft Windows, especially using Outlook, Word and Excel software.
Administrative and office experience and an Associate degree are preferred.
