Kingsport Community Foundation was founded in 2000 to provide support for innovative programs that will benefit the Greater Kingsport Community and its people forever.

Kingsport Community Foundation (KCF) is a philanthropic opportunity that allows people to help the Kingsport community. An Affiliate Fund of East Tennessee Foundation, KCF is made up of contributions from many donors and governed by a local volunteer board of directors. Monies raised in the Kingsport area STAY in the Kingsport area to enrich the lives and strengthen the communities throughout Greater Kingsport

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:
Sullivan County students are eligible to apply for the following 3 scholarships:

  • Gail Clay Scholarship (Scholarship not available for 2010-2011 academic year. Next available 2013-2014 academic year.): for spouse or child (graduating high school senior or current college student) of full-time, non-exempt employee of the University of Tennessee or other state-supported, public higher education institution located in East Tennessee Foundation's 25-county service area.
  • Marilyn Davis Music Scholarship: for graduating seniors of Sullivan County High schools who demonstrate musical ability on the piano, and who plan to study (not necessarily major in) piano while seeking a degree from any accredited, non-profit college or university. Audition is required.
  • Jack F. and Edith Updyke Harmon Scholarship: for graduating Seniors from Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tennessee; Virginia High School, and John S. Battle High School, both in Bristol, Virginia; Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, Tennessee; or Bland High School in Bland, Virginia. Students must pursue undergraduate programs of study at either: Emory & Henry College, King College, East Tennessee State University or the University of Tennessee College of Agriculture in Knoxville.
