INFO: Kingsport Community Foundation (KCF) is a philanthropic opportunity that allows people to help the Kingsport community. An Affiliate Fund of East Tennessee Foundation, KCF is made up of contributions from many donors and governed by a local volunteer board of directors. Monies raised in the Kingsport area STAY in the Kingsport area to enrich the lives and strengthen the communities throughout Greater Kingsport!
Kingsport Community Foundation was founded in 2000 to provide support for innovative programs that will benefit the Greater Kingsport Community and its people forever.

Since 2000, over $44,000 has been awarded in competitive grants to county organizations. And over $2.9 million has been awarded through the Kingsport Community Foundation Spirit Campaign.

Appalachia Service Project, Inc. $1,000
Washington County
Good Neighbors, a home repair program, will serve Kingsport residents whose low incomes prohibit them from making much needed home repairs.
Arts Council of Greater Kingsport $1,000
Sullivan County
Two week-long Arts4Kids summer camps will be provided for children in the Kingsport community.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tennessee Valley, Inc. $600
Knox County
Volunteers will be recruited for at-risk children who are waiting for a Big Brother/Sister in the Greater Kingsport area.
Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kingsport, Inc. $1,000
Sullilvan County
A Satellite After-School Academic Enrichment Program will address the academic and social needs of at-risk youth living in public housing communities.
Children's Advocacy Center of Sullivan County $650
Sullivan County
Employees will learn the basics of the Spanish language so that they can better communicate with Hispanic children and their non-offending family members.
Girls Incorporated of Kingsport $1,000
Sullivan County
"Project: Metamorphosis" will engage girls in the hands-on experience of helping to protect the environment.
Greater Kingsport Family YMCA $1,500
Sullivan County
The AfterSchool Program will include youth fitness training for children in Kingsport City, Sullivan County and Hawkins County Schools.
Junior League of Kingsport $500
Sullivan County
"Managing the Safety of our Community" will train participants to recognize, avoid and prevent identity theft, Internet scams, predators and other dangers.
Kingsport Ballet $750
Sullivan County
DANCE CO (Developing Artists and Nurturing Cultural Education through Community Outreach) will provide ballet instruction to underserved children at Roosevelt Elementary School, the Boys and Girls Club and Girls, Inc.
Kingsport Chamber Foundation $500
Sullivan County
Sullivan County Imagination Library will provide all children who are between birth and five years of age with free age-appropriate hardback books each month.
Kingsport Chamber Foundation $1,000
Sullivan County
The Zulu Connection, an African Stilt-Walking and Dance Troupe, will participate in Fun Fest, a nine-day community-oriented summer festival.
Kingsport Theatre Guild $750
Sullivan County
A Theatre Badge Workshop for area Girl Scouts will provide girls with an overview of various aspects of live theater.
Small Miracles Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center, Inc. $2,000
Sullivan County
The Cowboy Curriculum Program will enhance the emotional wellness of troubled and/or socially and emotionally challenged youth by means of therapeutic horse-related activities.
Symphony of the Mountains $750
Sullivan County
An on-going Musicians in the Classroom Program will be provided for elementary and middle school students in Kingsport and Sullivan County.
