AFFILIATE: Harris Fund for Washington County (An affiliate is an East Tennessee Foundation designated fund for Washington County that is created and governed by a local advisory board.)

INFO: Endowed in 1994 by Ms. Eva Stanley Harris, a Washington County native, in memory of the Harris Family of Johnson City, to honor their spirit of philanthropy and legacy of community service and to provide support for innovative programs that will benefit Washington County and its people.

Grants Awarded from ETF to benefit Washington County

  • Since 1992, East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) awarded $2,619,806 in grants to organizations located in Washington County.
  • In addition, the Foundation holds endowments for the benefit of the following organizations in the county: Johnson City Public Library, Johnson City Public Library Foundation, and Rocky Mount Museum Agency.
  • Washington County has also benefited from many more ETF grants made on a regional basis or to organizations located in other counties that have directly served Washington County.
