In response to overwhelming needs in our region we have created the Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund of East Tennessee Foundation. Our hearts and thoughts are with those in our region and other states who have suffered devastating losses during the recent severe weather that brought torrents of rain, damaging hail and literally spawned hundreds of tornadoes.
    

Our 25 years of experience have enabled us to build long standing relationships and networks with local nonprofits that know how to respond in their own communities. The Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund will make grants to local organizations that are working closely with communities in our 25-county service area.
    

Our goal is to provide prompt, cost effective services to communities and families in need. We will also work with our colleagues in community foundations in the State of Alabama to provide resources to communities most affected by the storms and tornadoes.
    

Be a caring neighbor. Giving is easy for all who want to join our effort. You can make a gift on line, recommend a grant from your donor advised fund, or send a monetary contribution made payable to the Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund of East Tennessee Foundation. A gift of any size can help provide shelter, medical care, food and many other basic needs to those in our region and our neighbors in Alabama.
