Johnson County Community Foundation Invites Local Nonprofits to Apply Online for Grants

Grant monies now available in support of county nonprofit organizations
EAST TENNESSEE - Applications for the Johnson County Community Foundation Fund, an Affiliate Fund of East Tennessee Foundation (ETF), are now being accepted. A new web-based grant application system is being used for Johnson County Community Foundation grants. This change will make the grant application process simpler, more efficient, and user-friendly for applicants. Nonprofit organizations with projects or programs benefiting Johnson County residents are encouraged to apply.
Johnson County Community Foundation Fund (JCF) supports endeavors that build community goodwill, seek to solve community challenges and produce results improving the quality of life for all citizens of Johnson County. Available awards for the 2012 grant cycle will generally range from $500 to $1,000 in support of projects, programs or activities occurring between May 1, 2012 - May 1, 2013. JCF applications must be submitted by Friday, March 2, 2012.
Created by a group of Johnson County residents in 2001 to serve the people of their beloved county, Johnson County Community Foundation gives donors a way to connect their giving with local nonprofits, public agencies and compelling charitable causes. JCF, established as a permanent endowment, provides an on-going resource to fund endeavors creating opportunities and addressing challenges for all Johnson County citizens.
East Tennessee Foundation, established in 1986, is a regional community foundation serving 25 counties in East Tennessee. With the mission of enriching lives and strengthening communities, ETF administers 13 affiliate funds, including JCF.
Eligible applicants must be located within and/or serve Johnson County and be tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or other exempt entities such as public schools. Guidelines and applications for JCF are available on ETF's website at www.easttennesseefoundation.org and upon request.
