Johnson County Community Foundation Invites Local Nonprofits to Apply for Grants

Grant monies for 2008 now available in support of county nonprofit organizations
EAST TENNESSEE - Guidelines and applications, also known as Request for Proposals (RFP's) for the Johnson County Community Foundation (JCF) Fund, an Affiliate Fund of East Tennessee Foundation (ETF), are now being accepted for the 2008 grant cycle. This is just the third round of grant opportunities through JCF. Nonprofit organizations with projects or programs benefiting Johnson County are encouraged to apply. Applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 7, 2008. Guidelines and applications are available upon request and on ETFs website at www.easttennesseefoundation.org.
The Fund supports endeavors that build community goodwill, seek to solve community challenges and produce results improving the quality of life for all citizens of Johnson County. Eligible applicants must be located within and/or serve Johnson County and be tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations or other exempt entities. Available awards for the 2008 grant cycle will generally range from $500 to $1,000 in support of projects, programs or activities occurring between June 1, 2008 and June 1, 2009.
The Fund will be holding a Technical Assistance Workshop on Monday, March 17
from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Johnson County Schools Board Room.
Attendance is not required for funding consideration.

Created by a group of Johnson County residents in 2001, to serve the people of their beloved county, JCF gives donors a way to connect their giving with local nonprofits, public agencies and compelling charitable causes. JCF, established as a permanent endowment, provides an on-going resource to fund endeavors creating opportunities and addressing challenges for all Johnson County citizens.
