Women's Fund of East Tennessee

The mission of the Women's Fund is to be a catalyst to transform the lives of low-income women and girls in East Tennessee Foundation's 25-county service area.
Through the grantmaking process, the Women's Fund seeks to fund exemplary programs that address skill attainment in two focus areas:
  • Life Skills
  • Education and Work Related Skills

Application Process

Before applying, potential applicants must review the General Eligibility Criteria and the Introduction to the Grantmaking Process to determine their eligibility.  Potential applicants should also review the results of the Women's Fund's Research Project.

All applicants are required to submit an electronic Letter of Intent (LOI). Letters of Intent will be made available on September 5, 2014 and are due on October 2, 2014.  Selected organizations will then receive a formal invitation to submit a full proposal.

Interested organizations should also plan to attend one of two technical assistance workshops.  These workshops are not required, but will provide valuable insight into the grantmaking process and the types of programs the Women's Fund seeks to fund.  Workshops will be held on September 10th, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., in Johnson City at the Johnson City Public Library (100 W. Millard St., Johnson City, TN 37604), and on September 12th, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., in Knoxville at the Public Defender's Community Law Office (1101 Liberty St., Knoxville, TN 37919).  Please call East Tennessee Foundation at (877) 524-1223 if someone from your organization will attend one of these workshops.
